FWD Group Holdings Limited announced 12 charitable grants across Asia in time for its 12th anniversary, supporting non-government organizations with programs in financial literacy, career readiness, social entrepreneurship, and health and wellbeing.

The grants cover FWD’s 10 markets, including Cambodia, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

“Celebrating our 12th anniversary as a newly listed company makes this milestone especially meaningful,” said Huynh Thanh Phong, chief executive officer and executive director of FWD Group. “The life insurance business is a deeply personal one, with FWD now touching the lives of 30 million people and their families across Asia.”

In Cambodia, FWD is partnering with Cambodia Children’s Fund to launch the “Let’s Save Debate,” a university-level initiative promoting financial literacy through debate and research.

In Hong Kong SAR, FWD will expand the JA SparktheDream program with Junior Achievement Hong Kong and introduce a wellness workshop that combines financial education with social and emotional learning for primary school students. The company will also support WISE (Women In Sports Empowered Hong Kong Limited), which aims to empower teenage girls through sports for mental wellbeing and self-confidence.

In Indonesia, grants support InnovateHer Academy 3.0 with KUMPUL.ID, equipping female entrepreneurs with business skills, mentorship, and investment readiness. FWD will also launch a financial education program with Prestasi Junior Indonesia to train 30 school teachers in delivering effective financial literacy lessons.

In Japan, FWD will work with the National Welfare Beauty and Barber Training Association to provide medical wigs and support for cancer patients during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In Malaysia, the B.I.J.A.K. program with GivingHub will provide 200 low-income families with health and financial literacy workshops, along with 200 health screenings and consultations.

In the Philippines, FWD is collaborating with Junior Achievement Philippines on JA Forward Your Success to support graduating college students with financial literacy and career planning.

In Singapore, FWD will support Club Rainbow (Singapore) through Ride & Ralk for Rainbows 2025 and will facilitate a visit to Mandai Wildlife Reserve for children and youths with rare genetic and neurological disorders.

In Thailand, FWD will sponsor seven hospitality scholarships via Pimali Foundation for disadvantaged youth and expand the JA SparktheDream program by training 30 teachers in financial literacy to support students.

In Vietnam, FWD will support Be A Finnovator with the Startup Vietnam Foundation through a university-level training and debate competition to build financial leadership, critical thinking, and responsible money habits.

“With caring as one of our core values at FWD, giving back in tangible and impactful ways to the wider community is a big part of our vision of changing the way people feel about insurance,” added Phong.

Earlier this year, FWD extended its regional partnership with JA Worldwide, a youth-focused charity and Nobel Peace Prize 2025 nominee, to reach 40,000 more students across Asia by the end of 2027 with its financial literacy program.
