Businesses and public entities across Asia Pacific will now have access to a digital platform designed to track and respond to climate-related threats, as Zurich Resilience Solutions extends its Climate Spotlight service to the region.

The launch comes as regional data points to mounting climate pressures. The World Meteorological Organization reports Asia is warming at twice the global rate, while research by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority covering more than 4,000 firms across 12 economies found nearly half face high exposure to multiple climate hazards.

Mark Fletcher, head of Zurich Resilience Solutions APAC, said the need for detailed risk assessment has never been greater.

“Since its debut in November last year, Climate Spotlight has received strong interest and positive feedback from clients worldwide. In Asia Pacific, where climate change risks are intensifying, understanding and acting on climate risk exposure is more important than ever. As leaders in Risk Engineering, we developed Climate Spotlight to empower organizations to identify, prioritize, quantify, and address their climate risks, helping safeguard their people and assets for years to come,” Fletcher said.

Climate Spotlight is offered in two formats. The Core version is a dashboard that allows users to review climate exposure across up to 100 sites globally. The Expert version provides deeper analysis, drawing on vulnerability data, business metrics, and unlimited site assessments, supported by expert consultation.

In addition to mapping risks, the tool helps organizations prepare reporting in line with major global standards, including the ISSB’s IFRS S2, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, and the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.

Its projections cover four climate scenarios out to the year 2100, offering insights on hazard evolution and risk materiality that can be incorporated directly into compliance frameworks.
