Willis, a WTW business, announced Monday the appointment of Louie Clarke (pictured) as global head of claims strategy and execution within its Risk & Broking division.
Clarke will oversee the development and implementation of Willis’ claims services and solutions for clients across all geographies and specialties. Based in London, he will join the global claims leadership team and report to Neil Harrison, global head of claims.
“We are delighted to welcome Louie to Willis. This appointment is the latest example of our commitment to claims, a key part of the overall Willis proposition for clients and markets,” Harrison said. “As we differentiate through specialisation, outcomes and service standards, our focus on attracting talent of this calibre to supplement the outstanding professionals already working on behalf of our clients will continue.”
Clarke previously held claims leadership roles at Aon before joining WTW.
WTW provides data-driven solutions in people, risk and capital, serving clients across 140 countries and markets. In the third quarter of 2025, the firm’s Risk & Broking business generated US$1.01 billion (C$1.416 billion) in revenue, a 7% increase from the same period last year.
In recent quarters, the company has seen mixed overall revenue trends while recording organic growth in key segments. In the first quarter of 2025, revenue was US$2.22 billion, down 5% year‑on‑year, while organic growth reached 5%.
In the Canadian insurance and risk‑management sector, market conditions are evolving. The Aon Spring 2025 Canadian Insurance Market Update noted that the commercial property and casualty market remained well‑capitalised despite record catastrophe losses.
Aon’s fall 2025 update highlighted a softening market with increased capacity and heightened competition, with insurers focusing on client retention through broader coverage options.
