Prudential Singapore has partnered with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to launch “GenAI XPonential,” a new initiative aimed at accelerating the adoption of Generative AI (GenAI) among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The program, unveiled at the Asia Tech x Singapore (ATxSG) event by senior minister of state Tan Kiat How, supports Singapore’s Digital Enterprise Blueprint and focuses on providing SMEs with practical tools and real-world applications of GenAI technology.

GenAI XPonential includes up to 10 explainer videos and four hands-on workshops, co-developed by Prudential and Republic Polytechnic through the Talent Engagement Ecosystem (TEE-Up) initiative.

The first two videos, which explore customer engagement chatbots and GenAI-driven content creation, are available on IMDA’s CTO-as-a-Service platform, with more to follow in the second half of 2025. The workshops are delivered by GenAI specialists from both Prudential and Republic Polytechnic.

Ben Tan, chief distribution officer at Prudential Singapore, emphasized the importance of equipping SMEs with emerging technologies. “SMEs are a vital part of Singapore’s economy. We’re proud to help them unlock the potential of GenAI to support innovation, growth, and long-term competitiveness,” he said.

IMDA assistant chief executive Johnson Poh echoed the sentiment, noting that GenAI presents new opportunities for SMEs to boost productivity and remain competitive in a fast-changing digital environment.

As part of the initiative, students from Republic Polytechnic were engaged to produce the explainer videos, gaining experience in applying their digital skills to real-world business challenges. The collaboration also serves as a youth engagement platform, supported by the National Youth Council, fostering intergenerational learning between students and SMEs.

This initiative builds on Prudential’s prior SME support programs as part of its commitment to innovation within the business community.
