Glen Browne is returning to American International Group, Inc. (AIG) as global head of accident & health (A&H), rejoining the insurer after holding leadership roles at Everest and Chubb.
In his new role, which will take effect on September 3, 2025, he will oversee AIG’s A&H portfolio across international and North American markets.
He will be based in Zurich and report to Jon Hancock, executive vice president and chief executive officer of AIG’s international commercial insurance and global personal insurance.
Browne said he is looking forward to working again with AIG’s A&H teams and collaborating with distribution partners to help support client needs and develop new opportunities.
“I am thrilled to be rejoining AIG, and I look forward to working with A&H colleagues to drive our growth momentum, deepen client impact, and expand opportunities we can help create alongside our valued distribution partners,” he said.
Most recently, Browne served as global head of A&H at Everest. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at Chubb, where he held various senior roles, including deputy regional president for Asia-Pacific and division president for consumer lines. He served at AIG from 2007 to 2011 in senior A&H positions based in Japan and Korea, and returned to the firm in 2025.
According to Hancock, Browne brings over 30 years of experience in A&H and retail distribution.
“Glen’s leadership will be instrumental in strengthening AIG’s prominent position in the A&H market, while driving our global growth strategy, and advancing product and distribution innovation,” said Hancock.
AIG’s insurance operations span over 200 countries and jurisdictions, and include accident and health insurance through its global platforms.
