Distinguished Programs, a national insurance program administrator and managing general agent (MGA), has expanded its Community Associations program through a new partnership with Wright Flood, one of the largest providers of flood insurance in the United States.
The collaboration will allow brokers to include flood coverage as part of a broader insurance package tailored to community associations such as homeowners’ associations, condominiums, and residential property owner groups.
The Community Associations program already includes core products such as package, directors & officers (d&o), crime, umbrella, and cyber coverage. The addition of flood insurance broadens the risk management options available to brokers and their clients, offering a more complete solution through a single submission process.
“Community associations face unique risks and floods are one of them,” said Barbara Bartson, president of Distinguished’s Community Associations program. “With this integration, brokers can easily add flood coverage through Wright Flood after submitting an eligible Community Associations application.”
The partnership is designed to streamline access to flood coverage, which is often considered separately from other property and liability policies. Brokers gain a single point of access for a range of insurance products.
“Flood insurance is all we do, and collaborating with Distinguished allows us to extend that knowledge to an even larger network of brokers,” said G. Michael Sloane, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Wright Flood.
“Where it can rain, it can flood. Whether a property is inside or outside of a high-risk flood area, we encourage property owners to consider purchasing flood insurance for the protection and peace of mind it brings,” he added.
The companies said the offering is now available nationwide and is part of an ongoing effort to expand bundled insurance solutions for niche markets.
