Chubb Life Hong Kong is set to play a prominent role in the Asian sports landscape as the title sponsor of the region’s first Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS), scheduled for Oct. 14 and 15 at the Kai Tak Arena in Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Sports Park.
The insurer is organising a series of activities in the lead-up to the event, aiming to increase engagement among local communities and raise awareness of the UTS format.
Belinda Au, president of Chubb Life Hong Kong and head of North Asia, said the company’s involvement is intended to bring together tennis fans and foster a sense of connection.
“We are thrilled to bring the Ultimate Tennis Showdown to Asia, uniting sports enthusiasts from around the world in Hong Kong. At Chubb Life Hong Kong, we believe in the power of partnerships. By partnering with UTS, we aim to foster a stronger, more connected community centred around a shared passion and pursuit of excellence, both in sport and in life,” she said.
In partnership with the Hong Kong China Tennis Association, Chubb Life Hong Kong will co-host the “Fast Series” by UTS, a condensed version of the main event.
This series will take place from Sept. 22-26 at several private clubs, including the Chinese Recreation Club, The Hong Kong Country Club, and Ladies Recreation Club. These events are open to club members, offering them a chance to experience the UTS format firsthand.
The main event at Kai Tak Sports Park will feature hard court matches and a range of complimentary, tennis-themed activities designed for families.
Chubb Life Hong Kong is also launching a ticket giveaway campaign from Oct. 1 to 3, which will see a branded truck visit various locations in the city.
Attendees who participate in the campaign and share their stories on social media will be eligible to win tickets to the Chubb UTS Hong Kong All-Star Game on Oct. 13.
Coleman Wong, Chubb Life Hong Kong’s brand ambassador, will participate in the event. Wong’s journey from local athlete to international competitor is highlighted in an exclusive interview available on the company’s digital channels.
Alongside its sports sponsorship, Chubb Life Hong Kong has opened the Chubb 1792 Club in Tsim Sha Tsui.
The new facility is designed to serve the insurance and wealth management needs of affluent and high-net-worth clients, including those visiting from overseas.
Located in a key commercial and tourism district, the centre provides tailored financial protection and wealth planning services.
The opening of the Chubb 1792 Club is part of the company’s broader strategy to increase its market share in Hong Kong’s insurance sector, which is experiencing growth due to rising demand for life and medical insurance as well as increased international asset inflows.
The club’s name references Chubb’s founding year, reflecting the insurer’s long-standing heritage.
“The launch of Chubb 1792 Club represents a bold leap in our continued expansion in the wealth management space," Au said. "It reflects our long-standing commitment to serving the evolving needs of customers with differentiated, high-touch solutions that go beyond traditional insurance.”
