Amwins Program Underwriters (APU) has unveiled its new AmeriComp Workers' Compensation Program, aimed at addressing the coverage needs of employees across multiple industries.
The program provides monoline workers' compensation coverage for a wide range of low-to-high hazard classes, broadening APU's underwriting appetite and complementing its existing program portfolio, which includes recycling and healthcare workers' compensation offerings.
QBE as partner
Supported by AM Best “A” rated carrier QBE, the AmeriComp program features flexible billing options, loss-control services, and a range of employer liability limits, the company stated.
Jon Beckham, president of Amwins Program Underwriters, said the launch represents an evolution of AmeriComp’s offerings, combining underwriting expertise with carrier strength to provide agents with innovative solutions in a competitive market.
The move also reflects broader trends in the US workers’ compensation market, where insurers and program managers are seeking ways to expand capacity, streamline risk management, and meet the evolving needs of diverse industries.
Recently launched specialty insurance offering
Last month, Amwins launched Cyber+, a proprietary cyber insurance product designed to provide coverage for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Cyber+ introduced SME-focused features, including $500,000 limits for social engineering and invoice-manipulation fraud, breach costs that are primary to other insurance and extend outside policy limits up to $4 million, and an additional $1 million in defence costs. The product also provides full-limit hardware bricking and replacement coverage, along with "pay on behalf" event management and extortion-expense cover.
The initiatives highlight Amwins' broader strategy of offering tailored specialty insurance solutions, combining carrier partnerships, underwriting expertise, and risk-management support to meet evolving business needs across multiple lines of coverage.
